Rosie's Page

Esther Rose Bader was born at 5:02 am on Tuesday, November 30, 1999 (coincidentally her grandfather Michael Engelberg's birthday too). Her weight was 2 lbs. 11 oz. and her length 15.5 inches. Sounds a little small? That's because she was born at 32 weeks gestational age, 8 weeks short of full term.

Here's a picture of her mom Jennifer on Thursday, November 25, 1999, just before going to her cousin's for Thanksgiving.

Here's Jennifer watching over Rosie shortly after birth. The lighting is from bilirubin lights. Don't worry about all the tubes; she's doing fine now.

Rosie will be staying at the Special Care Nursery at Stamford Hospital until she's close to full-term 40 weeks gestational age (her due date was mid-January).
